what is PR?
Public relations is widely accepted as a discipline about maintaining a public image. Here at Red Bug, we see PR as the practice of managing communications between our client and its publics. A company's 'publics' can refer to its employees, customers, suppliers, partners, and the media. In essence, our job entails enhancing relationships by facilitating communications between these entities.
After all, we are bombarded every day with information that shapes or at least slightly influences the way we think. Whether in relating directly with people, reading e-mails, or receiving news on radio, TV, or online channels, we form impressions almost immediately - sometimes even without realising it. That's why companies engage in PR - to manage information output so they can better impact audiences to improve brand and market positioning.
